How It Felt

In which John makes a video for future John, future Hank, and future Katherine about what happened at the 2012 Tour de Nerdfighting and how it felt. Thanks to everyone who came out for the tour this year, to all the awesome independent bookstores and theaters that hosted us, and to the nice nerdfighter who held the camera.

Dear Nerfighteria,

I know I will probably never meet most of you. I will never meet John or Hank, and I will never get to experience exactly what this video is about - well, live, at least.

What I’ve realised is that it doesn’t matter.

What matters is that there are amazing people who can go and can show John and Hank and, most importantly, each other how much love and awesome there is in the world. What matters is, “If you want to be a Nerdfighter, you are a Nerdfighter.” What matters is that wherever we live, we are all still here, on the internet, on youtube, tumblr, twitter, kiva.org, P4A, facebook, vyou, everywhere there are Nerdfighters coming together and just doing stuff because they are Nerdfighters. And that is amazing.

Thank you, Nerdfighteria. Hugs and cookies and smiles through tears from Finland.

Tub’s too full…it would totally spill everywhere. I mean…who’s gonna clean that up!? 

And then the water gets on that wooden window frame, it stars to mold and rot and that looks like an expensive custom window to replace, especially if you get double-pained, which you really should with today’s high energy costs and also anyone in that far house with a decent telescope would have no problem seeing all my personal bath business.
